Black Anodized

The Pro is finished in a flat, matte black anodize that cuts glare and blends in with blacked-out hardware. Because it is anodized into the aluminum rather than painted on, there is no coating to chip or flake. Under the finish it is the same billet 6061 bar and string-locking design as the rest of the line.

The Pro works like every Steadfast bar. Instead of winding each string around the tuning post, the string path is reversed: the ball end sits at the post and the free end locks at the bar under a set screw. This is the first string-locking tailpiece of its kind, and dropping the winding is what cuts restring time by up to 75%.

A locked string will not slip while you bring it to pitch, and it holds through heavy bends and hard playing. The Pro is a direct drop-in on two-stud, top-mount guitars, with no routing or modification.
